Project R842/1 Improvements of Al KhailRoad, Al KhailRoad -Emirates road Junction (9), consists of constructing a new Interchange on Al Khail Road to replace the existing Roundabout with Emirates Road, as well as widening of Al KhailRoad from four (4) to Six (6)lanes.The Interchange in its basic form is providing accessibility to the new extension of Al Khail Road and the developments in thearea (IMPZ, Dubai Sports City, Jumeirah Village, etc.).The interchange will provide free movement from Al KhailRoad to the New Extension of Al HhailRoad over the Emirates Road. It also provides two primary directional links, the firstbeing from Al Khail Road (Dubai bound) to Emirates Road and the second from Emirates Roadto Al KhailRoad (Dubai bound)The Project also includes addressing the relocation and protection of all services impactedby the interchange.
